As a training academy, our objective is to enhance through our Career Programs the knowledge, skills and competence of our trainees and prepare them for the numerous career opportunities in high potential, high growth industries. We also conduct Executive Programs for the benefit of employees and management students who wish to learn more about various industries. Management Team


•  Mr. Sumeet Lal - Managing Director & Founder

An MMS Finance from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and a B. Com from Sydenham College in Mumbai, Mr. Sumeet Lal has been in the financial services space since the year 1996 with some very well known organisations. Mr. Lal has also done a Business Leadership Programme from the Melbourne Business School.

Among the many roles played with insurers like Kotak Life Insurance, MetLife India Insurance, Birla Sun Life Insurance and most recently Bharti AXA Life Insurance, Mr. Lal has had a very successful stint in the Training function. He has also been closely associated with the agency business and his last assignment was as all India Head, Business Development for Bancassurance.

Mr. Sumeet Lal's width of exposure across verticals and functions within this industry has helped him add immense value to the activities at AIIM. Students of all courses as well as corporates are sure to benefit from the same.

•  Mr. Tanuj Poddar - Executive Director (Career Eminence)

A Commerce graduate from Kanpur University coupled with a degree in MMS - Marketing from Bharti Vidyapeeth's Institute of Management Studies & Research, Mr. Poddar has been in the financial services industry for nearly 10 years.

He has worked with some of the most reputed life insurance companies such as ICICI Prudential, HDFC Standard Life and Bharti AXA Life and has hands on experience in various functions like Sales, Marketing and Business Development.

Mr. Poddar is determined to ensure that students benefit from the vast opportunities that such high growth sectors will continue to offer.



Advisory Board


•  Mr. S.Suryanarayanan – Ex Chief General Manager, IDBI

An M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT, Mumbai and an MFM from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, Mr Suryanarayanan has during his professional career spanning well over 35 years been associated with various banking functions like project appraisal, evaluation, monitoring and financial restructuring. He has 22 years experience in appraisal & financing of industrial & infrastructure projects during his tenure with IDBI and held senior positions as Chief General Manager and Zonal Manager.

Mr Suryanarayanan has attended numerous international training programs including those conducted by the World Bank, IFC and USEPA. Since the last 5 years, he is into academics and in his position as Dy. Director of a management institute of a reputed group, he is actively associated with various aspects of academics.

•  Mr. M. Sanjaya – Ex General Manager, Reserve Bank of India

A career Central Banker and Trainer, Mr. Sanjaya has worked in various departments of the Reserve Bank of India during his 33 year stint with the Bank, major portion of which was in the Regulation and Supervision of banks and non-banks. He has spent substantial part of his career both before joining the RBI and during RBI stint in Training related functions. Mr. Sanjaya was member of faculty in the Reserve Bank Staff College, Chennai for six years and was involved in training of the Officers of the Central Bank as well as other banks and institutions. His academic credentials include Masters in Science from Osmania University, Masters in Business Administration from Madras University, CAIIB and Advanced Diploma in Management from IGNOU. He has attended several training programmes and seminars in India & abroad including training programmes conducted by Euro-money, London, DC Gardner Training, and seminar by ICCOS. His major areas of work and interest include Risk Management, Derivatives, Supervision, Financial Management, Financial markets, bonds and Government Securities market, Regulation and Supervision. During the later part of his career in RBI, he has worked in the Office of Banking Ombudsman for AP, oversaw the currency management function and dispensation of rural credit in the State of Andhra Pradesh. He is a steering committee member of Hyderabad Chapter of The Professional Risk Managers' International Association (PRMIA).

•  Mr Sanyog Jain - Principal, Front Line Consulting

Sanyog Jain is an expert in professionalizing front-line sales force. His comprehensive understanding of the distribution comes from the fact that he has held leadership roles in Sales, Training and Development and Distribution Marketing. Sanyog acquired his "doing skills" from being a front line sales person, trainer and manger in the early years of his career.

He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry working in matured and emerging markets. Sanyog is well versed in different financial products and channels used for marketing these products.

In an earlier assignment, as a Director, assigned to the India operation of one of the largest insurers of the world, Sanyog started the Agency Sales, T&D, COE and Core Agency functions PAN India.

Several of the best practices in the insurance industry in India were initiated by him.For example, the illustration system widely used across the insurance industry today was first introduced by Sanyog. He has mentored many people currently at senior positions in the industry.

Sanyog has won several industry and company awards. He holds a number of professional designations including CFP, LUTCF, Certificate in Coaching from Result Coaching System in Australia and Advance Management Program from IIMB.

•  Mr. S. J. Gidwani - Ex Secretary General, Insurance Institute of India

A BA (Hon) Economics rank holder of Mumbai University and an LLB, Mr Gidwani is also an Associate of the Insurance Institute of India for the Life branch and a Fellow for the Non Life branch.

His last assignment was as Secretary General of the Insurance Institute of India. Prior to that Mr Gidwani was with LIC holding various senior positions across functions including a faculty member position at their Management Development Centre.

Mr Gidwani has also been directly involved in development of books on insurance including those for vocational courses and been a paper setter, evaluator and moderator for two decades. He is also a visiting faculty member at the Management Development Centre at LIC, Amity University, BIMTECH and several other reputed organisations.

He has also been a member of the Board of Governors of ICFAI, Hyderabad, member of Pension and Insurance Committee of CII/FICCI, member of the Pension and Insurance Committee of the ICAI and member of the Institute of Global Insurance Education UK, USA and Canada.

•  Mr. Nimesh Bhimani - Partner, M/s. G. P. Kapadia & Co., Chartered Accountants

CA Nimesh Bhimani, Partner of M/s. G. P. Kapadia & Co., Chartered Accountants has had vast exposure over three decade in the audit of PSU companies functioning in the field of Oil, Aviation, Steel, Ship Building and also within Insurance, Financial Institutions and Banks.

Mr Bhimani has successfully completed the course on IFRS conducted by the Accounting Standard Board of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in the year 2009.

He was also teaching Accounts, Management Accounting and Auditing at reputed some colleges of Mumbai and has 22 years of experience in the field of education and training. He has also participated in the team of trainers to PSU Bank's officers, RBI inspectors and C & AG audit teams.
